BTD Music Review “Learning” by Tom Mich

I am learning that Tom Mich has it going on, with his bluesy, soul drill’in, toe tappin, Motown sound!

Born and raised in Detroit, his music is Detroit influenced, laced with that Motown groove. I had a chance to interview Tom and he said, “A lot of Motown is in my.. “blood” I was influenced by the Temptations, Stevie Wonder and others.” His style of music sways towards bands like Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Tower of Power.

Learning is Tom’s third single from his second album “I Am Me.” I imagine popping this tune in the car, driving in an old classic convertible Mustang and crank’in this tune. The speakers would be grinning from end to end, bringing the sounds back of yester year with the full band ensemble sound of Motown.

You will hear heart strings with lyrics like..

Learning how to live my life again, it will take some time.
